Guardian Angels & Spirit Guides: two days of making & meaning

What: In Person Workshop – Guardian Angels & Spirit Guides two days of making & meaning. Make your own Guide or Angel for whatever you need in your life. Silly or serious it’s up to you.

We all need a little extra help sometimes, someone in our corner to boost our confidence, our spirit or even our defiance! So why not make your own custom icon, your own personal saint or spirit guide? Perhaps you need your very own Patron Saint of Serenity, or how about an Earth Goddess Guardian Angel? Maybe you need a Spirit Guide to Adventure? Whatever guide you need you can express yourself through this two-day mixed media workshop. Your Guide/Angel can be serious or silly, meditative or magical it’s up to you!

We begin the workshop with a meditation to help focus on who you need to call to into being to be your Guide or Angel. You’ll peruse the vast mix of faces, both animal and human, that I provide for you to choose from to manifest your Guide/Angel into being. I also bring images of hands and provide basic body patterns, so you don’t need to worry about your drawing skills at all. I will demonstrate how to design your Guide/An-gel using printed images and decorative papers. The collage technique I share is flexible, forgiving and fun. This workshop is great for beginners who want to explore mixed media art more and practiced artist who want to express themselves in a new way. Everyone will go home with a 11×14” custom collage image.

I provide: 11×14” canvas panels, face and body images and body patterns (kind of like paper dolls but better) & some art papers + interesting ephemera to collage.

You bring: Art papers, wrapping papers, old maps, journal pages, art you are ready to cut up. Anything you are inspired to “clothe” your Guide/Angel in and papers for a background.
